Le Chat Noir is a cabaret in the Bohemian district of Montmartre in Paris. It was a lively nightclub, artist party lounge, noisy music room. Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen was a Swiss Art Nouveau painter and illustrator who created the lithographed poster for the cabaret Le Chat Noir.
